HISTORY
Welcome to Night Sky Sound version 3.0. This latest incarnation of Night Sky Sound features a new recording facility in the heart of Los Angeles that is focused on music scoring and post production for television and film. Our new production room is filled with some of the latest and most powerful hardware and software, as well as the most coveted of vintage outboard gear and microphones in the world. We also have a vintage synth collection that was hand picked over the last three decades by synthesizer guru and company founder, Steve Donato. There is no other facility that has this breadth of synthesizers and recording gear....anywhere.
Our legacy spans more than 25 years, two coasts and three cities. We've been featured in many publications including New York Musician, The San Diego Reader, and even twice in MIX Magazine including their coveted Studio Class of 2009. Night Sky Sound is responsible for dozens of hit records and remixes, as well as renowned jazz and world music releases with artists like Grammy-nominated Maui native, Willie Kahaiali'i. We have also scored original music for television shows, theatrical film trailers and hit video games. See the CREDITS section of our website for more details.
Night Sky Sound has also been at the epicenter of music technology, having served as a source for music demos, sequences and soundware for many products over the years with companies like Korg, Kurzweil, Lexicon, Eventide and Moog Music.
