and analog), microphone selection, as well as choices in outboard signal processing,
computer-based audio, and wiring considerations.
Complete design of MIDI setup, including samplers, synthesizers (both vintage
and new), sound modules, interfaces and computer software.
When designing a particular setup, there will be special discounts available for
music and pro audio equipment, especially products from Avalon Design, and Kurzweil
Music Systems, since we are authorized dealers. We also work closely with other

Moby and Lou Reed among others. Together, we provide turnkey solutions from designing
and fabricating multi room, multi track recording facilities, pre-production work
stations for artists and producers, to building touring road racks, custom electronics,
patch bays, panels, and cabling. | | VINYL
ARCHIVING Using
state of the art technology, we have the ability to transfer material recorded
on vinyl (records) to high resolution digital. The first stage in this pristine
audio path is the VPI Aries supertable, equipped with a Joseph Grado Signature
Series phono cartridge. This supertable is one of the finest tables in the world
today. Audiophiles worldwide, recognize VPI Industries as the leader in supertable
design. The Aries is regulated by a precision Synchronous Drive System, which
controls the Aries synchronous AC motor with accuracy not found elsewhere.
It uses the AC line frequency to change the speed from 33 1/3 RPM to 45 RPM, as
well as the most minute increments in between, to accurately reproduce early recordings
that may have been cut with slight variations in pitch, due to inaccuracies in
cutting lathe motors. The
signal passes from the Grado cartridge, through the Rega tone arm directly to
a Bryston phonograph preamplifier, producing the highest fidelity while ensuring
the most accurate addition of the RIAA equalization curve. The line level signal
is then sent to an Avalon VT-747 for mastering treatment (if necessary), then
directly to an Apogee PSX-100SE analog to digital converter. This is the highest
quality A to D converter available in the world today, ensuring the warmest, most
analog-like sound. Once in the digital domain, the data can be loaded into Digital
Performer or Pro Tools for manipulation and then archived at 96KHz/24bit on DVD-Rs,
or various forms of removable media. Once in a program like Digital Performer,
many possibilities exist including the creation of multi-channel mixes. Instead
of archiving to 96KHz/24bit digital, the audio can be recorded to DAT or CD, using
Apogees exclusive UV22HR dithering algorithm, yielding 20 bit quality on
a conventional audio CD. With
this service, you will be able to preserve rare, out of print vinyl recordings,
digitally remaster them, and preserve them on audio CDs, or archive the data on
DVD-R. |
